Program Overview

DiamondPlus allows you to apply an upgrade credit toward new qualifying diamond jewellery from Lanka Jewels. The credit structure depends on whether the diamond was originally purchased from Lanka Jewels or another jeweller. All upgrades are subject to eligibility, condition, verification and final approval.

Diamonds Purchased From Lanka Jewels

Qualifying diamonds originally purchased from Lanka Jewels are eligible for 100% 

of the original net purchase price as upgrade credit, subject to the following

Terms & Conditions.

  • The original purchase must be verifiable through Lanka Jewels records.
  • The qualifying purchase price excludes taxes, duties, shipping and other 
  • additional charges.
  • The new qualifying Lanka Jewels purchase must be at least 200% of the original qualifying purchase price.
  • The customer pays any remaining balance plus applicable taxes.

Example: A $5,000 qualifying purchase provides $5,000 in upgrade credit toward a new item priced at $10,000 or more.

Diamonds Purchased From a Third Party

  • Diamonds originally purchased elsewhere may be considered for DiamondPlus following assessment and approval by our Gemologist.
  • Credit is not automatically based on the original purchase price or invoice.
  • Upgrade credit is determined following assessment and verification and may differ from the original purchase price.
  • Customers should provide any available invoices, grading reports, certificates or other supporting documentation.
  • Lanka Jewels may decline an upgrade if the diamond cannot be adequately verified or does not meet program requirements.

Eligible Diamonds

Eligible diamonds include:

  • Natural diamonds in rings or pendants of 0.50 ct or greater.
  • Natural diamond stud earrings totalling 1.00 ctw or greater.
  • Lab-grown diamonds originally purchased from Lanka Jewels, subject to 
  • verification and condition.
  • Lab-grown diamonds purchased elsewhere, subject to Gemologist assessment and approval.

Qualifying Lanka Jewels purchases may be upgraded from natural to lab-grown diamonds, or vice versa, subject to eligibility and availability.

Condition & Verification

All diamonds must pass inspection and verification. Diamonds that are chipped, cracked, heavily abraded, materially altered or otherwise compromised may be refused or receive no upgrade credit.

Lanka Jewels may require supporting documentation, verify laser inscriptions and conduct gemological testing to confirm the diamond and match it to its 

documentation.

Final upgrade credit is determined at the time of the transaction and recorded on the sale.

Ownership

The customer must confirm they are the lawful owner of the jewellery and that it is free from liens, financing, ownership disputes, insurance claims or other third-party interests. Lanka Jewels may request identification or additional information to verify ownership.

Exclusions & Additional Conditions
  • Coloured gemstones, Mounds and jewellery without a qualifying diamond
  • are not eligible.
  • Existing settings may not accommodate a larger or different diamond. A new setting or remount may be required at an additional cost.
  • Upgrade credit cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.
  • Upgrade credit cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred or carried forward.
  • An upgraded diamond may be eligible for a future upgrade under the terms in effect at that time.
  • Upgraded items are not eligible for return or exchange.
  • Lanka Jewels reserves the right to amend, suspend or discontinue the DiamondPlus program and modify its terms for future transactions.

Pricing & Taxes

Upgrade credits are calculated before applicable taxes and exclude taxes, duties, shipping and other additional charges.The customer is responsible for applicable taxes on the new purchase. GST, PST, and other taxes will be applied as required by law.

Final Approval

Every DiamondPlus transaction is subject to final approval by Lanka Jewels. We reserve the right to refuse an upgrade if eligibility, condition, documentation, ownership or verification requirements are not met.Upgrade credit has no cash value and may only be applied toward an eligible new purchase.
