The New Store

So I found it fitting to make our new post about our move to the new store. Briefly though I would like to give a little history on how we got here.

The store was opened in 1979 by my Dad Ken and Mom Sandra. At the time they were both nurses but Ken always had a passion for Jewelry.

Lanka Jewels Opening 1979

After many years of working as both a Psych Nurse and at the store, Ken decided to commit fully to Jewelry.

Fast forward 40 years and Lanka Jewels has grown to carry Branded lines such as Noam Carver, Kieth Jack, Bulova, Citizen, Bronzallure and more. We also do onsite Jewelry repairs as we have a goldsmith on premises.

Last year after contemplating for a long time we decided to take the step into a larger space. This meant not only doubling our footprint of the store, but also learning how to design a space like this.

Well after 6 months of work we were ready to open. With the help of our staff  families, and of course the support of the community, we had an amazing Grand Opening.

Since then we have had great response and love the extra space to work within. Below are some pictures of our Grand opening. This coming week we are celebrating our 40th Anniversary, with Saturday November 16th being the special day.
